James Davies is a Board Director at Posterscope, the world’s leading out-of-home communications agency network .
James graduated with a degree in physics and joined Posterscope in 1997, running their digital and innovations division, Hyperspace, since it’s launch in 2002. Hyperspace provides advertisers with the opportunity to integrate technology and specialist production methods into campaigns as well as creating bespoke communications channels. James’ significant experience and expertise within digital out-of-home helps to ensure that the millions that Posterscope spend in this sector work as efficiently and effectively as possible.
James has been involved in many of the industry’s most innovative out-of-home campaigns, winning awards and pioneering the use of numerous technologies. Projects have involved mobile image recognition, MMS, touch and gesture based interaction, personalised content, live streaming, branded content and 3D screens.
He has also been responsible for many other bespoke projects including a field of poppies in central London and an outdoor art exhibition and is a frequent commentator on the industry and its future.

Adam Cherry, Worldwide Digital Development Manager – Hyperspace/Posterscope

Adam joined the media industry in 2003 having completed a degree in business management. He worked as a communications planner at Mediavest and latterly OMD until joining Posterscope in 2008. As part of the Hyperspace team Adam provides the Posterscope Worldwide Network with digital OOH product development support and training as well as campaign planning consultancy.
Adam’s unique role provides a global perspective on the digital OOH market place and his expertise is in high demand from international advertisers and media agencies who wish to maximise the effectiveness of such activity.
Throughout his career Adam has worked on many groundbreaking campaigns such as the first customised digital posters on the London Underground and the first outdoor campaign to include a consumer voting element. More recent projects range from live video streaming to sound reactive displays. Adam also drives the global expansion of the most advanced DOOH planning tool in the world, Prism Screen.

Chris Heap – Managing Director, Imperative Group

Chris has been involved in the creation, deployment, management and effectiveness of DOOH networks (audio, visual and hybrid) for over a decade and can claim to have worked on some of the largest and/or path-finding retail deployments in the UK. Chris is currently Managing Director of the Imperative Group, an independent network development and communications agency for the digital out of home sector which specialises in promoting, creating, developing and delivering cutting edge digital media networks that engage people when they are out of the home, whether they are travelling, shopping, relaxing or working. Selected clients include Scala (EMEA), St Ives PLC, Premier Retail Networks, Harris Corporation, St John Patrick, BTiNet, ROI Team and Sony Professional Solutions Europe.
The Imperative Group is a member of POPAIdigital and Chris also sits on the management committee for POPAIdigital UK and on the Advocacy Steering Group in the U.S. He is also a contributor to a variety of online and offline magazines & blogs on the use, application and effectiveness of Digital Media out of the home. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, holds a BA (Hons) in Consumer Psychology from Bristol University and lives in London with his wife Claire. |
