confidence
in
consumer
spending,
is
still
growing.
While pure-play etailers may rejoice, the outlook is more complex for multi-channel retailers who now need to manage the increased share of online within their channel mix, significant new competition from late entrants (taking “second mover advantage” to leap directly to best practice offerings) and a demanding customer base – accustomed to choice, value and service.
